"I ❤️ my Mantra glass nail file! I didn’t even know that glass files existed, but I wondered whether they did because I have a nanoglass FOOT file (shaped like a computer mouse), and I wanted a nail file to navigate around the toes to file down callouses in narrow & small areas, as well as to smooth the nail bed, so I googled the term, “nanoglass emery board” and this product was prominent in the top search results. This is such a classy product, as a well-honed file and sleek suede sheath, offered in different colors as a coordinating set. And the mantra options—SO many to choose from! I selected “STAY CURIOUS” as mine, and it’s one that I post as a mantra on social media, and as a sign on my bike, so I was delighted to see a phrase option that isn’t a typical offering—goes to show how diverse their customer base is! This glass file would make such a great gift, especially if you know your recipient’s tastes in colors & quotes. For those wondering what kind of texture the surface of the file has, it’s like a frosted glass window, and the edges are smooth—no sharp corners. It’s has a nice thickness to it, and feels like a quality product both in appearance & in the hand. The file does get clogged, as any file does, and the advantage to this one is that you can wash & reuse it. For dry dust, the suede sheath does help to clear it off the surface a bit, but if it feels like the file has dulled, just assume it’s merely clogged. As for the results after filing, unlike with sandpaper emery boards, this one doesn’t leave a burr—the nail edges & surface are polished and refined afterwards. I don’t wear acrylic nails, so I’m unable to comment on how much “tooth” the file has when grinding down anything other than natural nails & flesh. CLEANING FILE: Tap off the dust or give the file a mist of water, then lightly rub the file surface & wipe off the residue (emollient + dead skin), if the clogging is minor. If you need a more thorough wash, run it under the tap and rub clean, then dry. ——— If you’re someone who elicits the most enjoyment from practical products that are beautifully-made with pride, this glass file will be considered one of your favorite utilitarian pleasures that you use (near) daily. I love drawing it out of its sheath, feeling the cool glass in my hand, and returning the dry file back into its suede sleeping bag. It feels a bit like drawing out your sword, as you go to battle against rough surfaces. ⚔️ Highly-recommend this product—only wish I’d known about these sooner!"
