Not a regular softy

All cuticle nippers are made of soft steel. Ours are the only ones that last decades.

Cuticle nippers

People have been talking about our cuticle nippers, and we want to share some reasons why. It starts with our innovative "crush stoppers" which keep the the blades from touching, ensuring razor sharpness and preventing over-squeezing. The super hard steel, blade honability, unique beveled joint, open design, and hand-assembly and hand-sharpening are a few other reasons.

CRUSH STOPPERS –

Ground-breaking innovation prevents over-squeezing the nipper, and the razor-sharp blades never "crush" each other, allowing the nippers to remain sharp!

52 ROCKWELL –

Unique technology allows the use of super hard steel so the nippers stay sharper, longer. It also allows for honing the nipper. Simply run the blades two or three times along a genuine Arkansas stone. Our nippers will stay razor sharp for decades!

DOUBLE SPRINGS –

Friction-free squeezing! Allows for a smooth, controllable cut.

NEW JOINT –

Our innovative, beveled joint minimizes friction for easier cuts and reduced wear.

SOLINGEN -

Hand sharpened! Every Germanikure nipper is sharpened manually with a file (not a grinder) by Solingen artisans.

12 UNIQUE HEADS –

Choose from three different head shapes, each available in 3, 5, 7 and 9mm.

OPEN JOINT –

Our “open” design allows for easy lubrication, and eliminates crevices where dirt and moisture can collect over time.

LEATHER CASE –

Our nippers come in a special, protective leather case.

SURGICAL STEEL –

Made of high carbon stainless steel, our nippers will never pit, crack, chip, or rust.

Get a closer look

Technological limitations with traditionally crafted nippers require other manufacturers to use softer steel. The result: tools that require frequent sharpening or regular replacement. Soft steel dulls very quickly, especially when the sharpened blades keep banging into each other. Not only that, but grinding down the steel to re-sharpen the edges removes a good amount of material. Do this often enough and pretty soon there’s no more steel left to sharpen. Let’s not even discuss the sheer amount of time required to put an edge back on the tool correctly, and that’s only if you can even find someone to sharpen them. It doesn’t have to be that way. Our Cuticle Nippers last for decades. Here’s how we did it:

LEATHER PROTECTED

Leather is a naturally cushioning material. Each cuticle nipper comes in a soft leather case which helps protect your it against breaks, nicks and scratches.

Technological limitations with traditionally crafted nippers required other manufacturers to use softer steel. The result? Tools that require frequent resharpening and replacement because soft steel dulls very quickly, especially when the blades keep banging into each other. Then, having to grind down the steel to sharpen removes a good deal of steel, not to mention it’s time consuming if you can even find someone to sharpen them. Rinse, repeat, and soon you need a new pair of nippers. Wasted money, time, and steel. GERmanikure fixed this conundrum by producing Cuticle Nippers that last decades. Here’s how we did it:

For professionals

We've lifted production limitations to give you a true line of professional tools. Since forever, manufacturing limitations have dulled cuticle nipper blades way too quickly. This is especially frustrating, and costly (constant replacement or sending out for sharpening) to nail professionals. Superior manufacturing and technology have allowed GERmanikure to produce nippers using super hard surgical steel. The result is that our nippers stay much sharper longer, and with just seconds of honing will stay that way for decades! You can actually resharpen in seconds! You've seen the great chefs sharpen their knives before preparing a meal. With GERmanikure's special Arkansas Novaculite Honing Stone, all it takes is to gently run the blades over the honing stone a couple of times and the blades will be razor sharp. No grinding, just gliding! This is a great way to impress clients with a personal “sharpening” just for them.

While we take pride in keeping our quality products affordable, there is something extra special about having students learn their future trade, and salon professionals servicing their clients with GERmanikure tools. We now have special programs in place to make sure every manicure student can learn the right way from day #1, with our tools that will last their lifetime. And for professionals, we offer a cost-effective program for every need and every product.

Packaging

We will never use plastic in our packaging, and here's why. The world produces 300 million tons of plastic every year, and only 10% of that is recycled. The rest ends up in landfills and oceans, leaking pollutants into the ground and water sources while taking centuries to decompose. Please join us in helping our world, one piece of plastic at a time.

Guilt
Free

Perhaps the best way to impact the world's waste problem is to buy everything unpacked. Until that time we use the bare minimum packaging of plain, hand - stamped kraft envelopes.

No phony smiles here. We value ethical practices and an ecologically sustainable future for our children far more than profit. We believe practices contrary to these ideals are repulsive and we utilize no child labor, no planned obsolescence, no factories that have reprehensible waste and which have no environmental conscience. The highest quality, longevous products can be affordable to regular people...in fact, anything less is unaffordable.

With these tenets as the core of our business practice, we have created the finest precision made manicure products in Solingen, Germany..."the city of blades" - world renowned for its impeccable steel manufacturing. Meticulously engineered with pride, care and attention to detail by adult artisans, our unique designs prevent wear, so the same product can last your family for generations. Specifically designed to provide smooth cutting instead of crushing, trimming instead of ripping, and finite shaping instead of micro-tearing, our products provide you with the healthiest treatment for your nails.

Loving yourself is the first step to loving others. We are Germanikure. Welcome to our family
